Truck drivers and trucking-related occupations are in high demand. Participants will gain the skills needed to earn their Class 1A license and build a career in the Professional Truck Driving Industry.

Time Commitment: 121.5 hours (approx. 4 weeks)
  • Classroom: November 20-24
    • 47 hours – MELT Instruction
  • In-cab:
    • 57 hours – includes the training for all 5 components of the 1A
  • Circle check/air/couple/yard: 17.5 hours

Requirements

Admission Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a Saskatchewan resident
  • Complete a Commercial Driver’s Licence Medical Report
  • Hold a nonGraduated Driver Licensing (GDL) Class 5 Saskatchewan driver’s licence
  • Hold a Class 1 learner (a Class 1 endorsement)
  • Hold Air Brake Certification (written test)
