New Training Subsidy for Employers

The Government of Saskatchewan recently announced the Re-Skill Saskatchewan Training Subsidy that will reimburse eligible private sector employers 100% of employee training costs with a minimum of $1,000 to a maximum of $5,000 per business.

As a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution, Parkland College is an eligible training provider for the recently announced Re-Skill Saskatchewan Training Subsidy. Information is available at this website:

Individual courses can be bundled to make a customized training program that meets your needs.  Parkland College has a large selection of online, blended and in-person courses readily available. We can design a customized package for you. Here are a few examples:

Employers choose the training program and mode of delivery that will meet their needs within the following requirements:

  • Must be delivered by a Saskatchewan based third party that has been in business for one year and is not affiliated with the employer;
  • Must be a minimum of 8 hours in length per trainee by the same training provider and
  • completed within 4 months;
  • Must start within 4 months of the application date;
  • Must result in a credential (record of completion, certificate, grade, etc.).

Applications will be open starting January 4, 2022

*Effective December 10, 2021, all employees, participants, and visitors must provide proof of vaccination or a valid negative COVID-19 test result. Proof of vaccination or negative test will be verified at registration.
